Dania Denise Webinar Update #2

Hey, all!

As I'm sure you've noticed, the polls for my website are now closed and the results are posted. The good news is that with the results I'll be able to start planning the layout of the webinar and what topics I'll be talking about.

The bad news is that GoToMeeting contacted me to say that the new video feature that's supposed to go with their webinar service won't be up and running for another couple of months. I'm not willing to postpone my webinar any longer than I have to and while I absolutely love their webinar product/service, I'm gonna have to seek another option.

That being said, the search is on! Until then I obviously can't do anything aside from plan out the webinar and what it will consist of so at least I'll have that to keep me occupied until I find a webinar service that meets all of my requirements. I know Skype is a free and easy option but the quality sucks and I don't want to risk having an experience where I'm losing connections to people left and right. If I'm gonna do this webinar, I want it done right!

Thank you for your patience so far, readers...I promise, I'm going to make this happen!

Hey Dania!
I have a quick question!
I'm 164cm right now and know that I won't grow anymore. I want to become a fit model and did some research, but I couldn't really find any good information. So can you please tell me:
1.what exactly a fit model does (all the website tells me different things)? Also advantages and disadvantages.
2.Do I have to be taller than 164cm to be a fit model? Do I have to be skinny? (as in is there a specific weight I have to be?)
3. I live in Brisbane, Australia. Can you please list some GOOD agencies for fit modelling?

I know I'm asking a lot...but it would be really great and wonderful if you could answer these questions!!

Modeling and Weight

One of the first things I hear potential models ask is what the weight requirement for modeling is. Sometimes that is the main issue they worry about when it comes to pursuing modeling. Let me tell you right now that weight should NOT be one of those concerns. Obviously, the height requirement reigns supreme when measuring up to the modeling standards sought out by agencies. If you meet the height requirements--whether it's for fashion and runway or commercial/print--that is the first step towards starting on the path to modeling. How much you weigh shouldn't be your biggest fear. It is rare that anyone can look at someone and say, "Oh, my gosh, he/she looks like they are 5 pounds over our weight requirement!" It just isn't realistic. If you look at many modeling agency websites, they clearly list the age and height requirements--rarely, if at all do they list any weight restrictions. Modeling & Pay Rates: How Much Should You Charge?

(This post is more targeted towards freelance models and not those with agency representation, although it may apply to those that have an agent but continue to find their own work.) A part of being a successful model is making money from the jobs that you book. However, being a freelance model comes with many challenges--figuring out what you should charge is one of them. I will say upfront that there are no established black and white rules when it comes to pay rates. Each modeling job is different, each client is different and budgets vary.
