ATTN: Modeling 101 "A Model's Diary" Readers - New Poll!

Happy 2024, Modeling 101 Readers! I don't know about you, but I've been busy since the new year started and I couldn't be more excited for all that this year will bring. I also want to make good on my promise to keep the momentum going with this blog.  For now I'm going to aim for 1-2 posts per month and I felt the timing for the beginning of the year was right to ask you guys to respond to this poll below to help me determine the direction this blog should go in from here on out. I'll keep this as a running poll for now with no set deadline...if I get at least 20-30 replies, that'll make the final results much quicker to gauge.  Thank you in advance for taking the time and feel free to vote even if this is your first time visiting my blog or if you haven't checked it out in a while. All your votes count!

Dania Denise & "The Modeling 101 - A Model's Diary" Blog Is Back!

Did you guys miss me? 😄 Okay, I know I've got some explaining to do, haha. Even though I haven't posted in a long time, as you can see, I've kept my blog active and I've also continued answering reader questions and publishing responses via my other blog dedicated to that very purpose. I'm sure you've got questions so I'll make this post an easy one to digest as far as updates in my world goes... Why Didn't You Keep Your Blog Updated? Not gonna lie: I was simply too busy. Being an entrepreneur, managing projects, teams, deadlines, and maintaining my own on-camera career had me moving in a million directions. I wasn't in the right mindset -- or had the energy -- to craft the informative, candid, and quality content I used to.  The last thing I wanted to do was put out subpar posts. That would be a disservice to my readers, many of whom have been following this blog since it was first started all those years ago. I always knew I was going to come back...

The Modeling 101 Blog Poll Results Are In!

The Latest on Dania Denise 2019

Hello, my beloved blog readers. I know I typically do this kind of an update post around the end of the year to catch you up on what I've been doing, as well as preview what's on my plate for the upcoming year. As you already know, I've been posting very inconsistently for some time now and while I was hoping to do at least one post a month at a minimum, I haven't kept to that promise. I truly appreciate those of you who haven't abandoned Modeling 101 - A Model's Diary and continue to subscribe and read/re-read past posts while waiting for new content. I'm doing this particular post because I feel I owe it to you...not because I feel obligated but because I genuinely love my blog and I love my readers and you deserve the best because that's what you've always given to me. 2019 has been a rocky one for me personally and it started around the month of March when I last posted. I'm sharing this side of myself because I feel it is import...

Happy New Year 2018 - The Latest on Dania Denise

Another year come and gone. What can I say about 2017? Well, as you probably know if you've been a reader of this blog for some time now, I haven't actively been posting like I used to. But I see it as a blessing in disguise. Think about it: I certainly love sharing all the insight and knowledge I have about the modeling industry with all of you but at the same time what kind of professional model would I be if all I did was blog every day? If anything, I am happy I posted so much in the early years of this blog. That was mainly due to the fact that I was working in the corporate world at the time, meaning I was a slave to a computer and cubicle 5 days a week. It was easy for me to shoot off a blog post or two (or three) and keep content up regularly. Once I broke free of the corporate shackles, however, I was finally able to take my entertainment career to the next level and not only continue to build my resume of experience and expand my network, but gain even more ...

ATTENTION: Ladies 5'6" & Shorter in California!!!

Now that I've got your attention, lol, I wanted to let you know of an opportunity that hopefully will be of interest to those of you on the shorter side who happen to live in California. Chances are you already know this news if you follow me on social media but for those of you that don't or who only check out my blog for modeling related purposes, I'm pleased to announce that I am the new State Director for the first ever Miss California Petite Pageant! So if you've ever thought about doing pageants, have done them in the past, always thought you were "too old" or were looking to try something new and see what it's all about, I strongly encourage you to apply because as State Director, I run the show (and you'd be in good hands)! Essentially, it is my own pageant that I will be producing and putting together so contestants would be interacting with me directly throughout the whole process. To avoid writing a long blog post and getting lost in...

Happy Holidays & The Latest From Dania Denise

'Tis the Season, folks! I'm sure you're all busy juggling shopping, work, cramming for finals (for you students out there), planning holiday travel and the list goes on. As you could probably tell--for my loyal readers out there--2016 was my slowest year ever in terms of posting new content here on Modeling 101. I hope I haven't let you down too terribly or given you the impression that I've retired or no longer do anything with this blog but if you have been keeping up with things, you already know that my lack of posting new stuff wasn't on purpose or to torture you. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to do anything halfheartedly. That includes emailing, blogging, even visiting with friends/family. If I don't have the appropriate amount of time to be focused on the task at hand, I would rather put it off until I have ample time to be at my best and give my full attention. I hate skimming through emails and rushing my responses and ...

New Website Launch: DaniaDee.com is Live!

I blogged about my next business venture earlier this year and after a lot of tweaking and planning, I'm happy to announce the official launch of DaniaDee.com ! WHAT IS DANIADEE.COM? Being able to help others pursue their goals for the modeling industry over the years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. People have shared their stories, dreams and aspirations with me and to be able to get them closer to making those dreams a reality inspired me to take things up a notch. I've been mentoring/coaching/consulting for a while now but mainly via email and word-of-mouth. However, I feel the time is right to take my services to the next level by officially marketing myself as a mentor/coach/consultant! DaniaDee.com is specifically for the purpose of marking those services to those with a serious interest in having one-on-one assistance with their entertainment careers. IS IT JUST FOR MODELS? No, DaniaDee.com is designed to offer one-on-one servic...

2016 - A New Year & The Latest on Dania Denise

Happy New Year! Okay, it's been the new year for a few days now but this is the first post I've written for 2016 so I wanted to keep the festive feeling going. I've gotta say that 2015 was quite a year for me and I'm sure you've noticed that I've been MIA from regularly posting. There really aren't just enough hours in the day and I apologize if you've felt abandoned or wanting for new information. I haven't forgotten you! There is always method to my madness, however. I basically devoted myself to being a workaholic in overdrive for 2015 so that I could position myself to make 2016 the kind of year where I could pick and choose how much I wanted to work (or not work) without worrying about making ends meet. You know, grown up stuff, lol. That being said, below is a quick recap of what 2015 held for me. Hopefully it will show you why I was absent as much as I was from my Modeling 101 blog and other related projects: Being interviewed live...
