Here are a few images I managed to snag off the Miss California USA site, which were taken from our recent trip to Inta Gems & Diamonds in Los Angeles, where the contestants were promoting the pageant to the local media. We also went to another store but I think they're still in the middle of uploading those pictures. Soon as they're up, I'll post them.
Here you go!
Shot from inside as we were looking at the gems and diamonds:
Group shot in front of the store (I'm on the left):
The place was nothing but mirrors--of course I had to check my hair! LOL:

I really admire you for what you've been able to do. Do you have any basic advice for someone who's just getting into the professional modeling scene? I'm biracial and I definitely don't have the classic glamor model looks, but I think my look is unique and something people respond to. I'd love to get into fashion modeling. So far, though, I've basically done some local catalogs and trade shows (for example, the American Diabetes Association meeting), so nothing really exciting or glamorous. Do you think it's a waste of time to do jobs like this, or is it a good idea in order to build up a resume and some experience?
Thanks a lot!
