I'm 14 and I have braces and I got given a letter in dance to audition for modelling dance wear in an international magazine. I looked at the pictures and all the girls are skinny with straight white teeth and now I don't know whether to go for it incase I just get told no straight away because of my braces. Help!
Hi, Anonymous! I have three words for you to answer your question: GO FOR IT!!! :-)
The fact that you got an invite says a lot and as I always like to say, you'll never know unless you put yourself out there. The "what ifs" in life are the worst to carry around with you and I guarantee if you don't give it a shot, you'll end up questioning your decision for years. Even if you don't get chosen, the experience will be a good one to at least give you some insight into modeling and what it takes to get booked for a gig. So don't over analyze or compare yourself to the competition. Put your best foot forward and use that opportunity to shine. If you get booked, awesome! If not, you never know, they may consider you for future projects--plus, it's a great chance for you to network and meet people.
I wish you the best of luck!!!
