Quick Tip #23
For: Female Models
Never wear brand new heels to a modeling gig, especially a fashion/runway show. Break in all your heels that you plan on using for modeling. Doing otherwise will absolutely mess up your feet, resulting in painful blisters and rubbing the skin off the back of your heel, which will result in an ugly scab and even scarring.
If you have to wear new heels for a show (sometimes designers have new shoes they want the models to wear), then you'll just have to deal with it but if you're bringing your own shoes, do your feet a favor and break them in first. If you know you have a show coming up and need to buy new heels, get them as soon as possible so you'll have plenty of time to break them in properly.
